He Sets the Solitary in Families
God sets the solitary in families: he leads out the prisoners with singing. Only the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
Life has been busy. As a wife, a mom of 15-month old twin boys, and a full-time web developer, I find myself strapped for time but the musings still come in a flood of emotions, thoughts and ideas that I can’t stop if I tried. So between my 3am Pinterest time and 6am Craigslist I am going to try and find some writing time too.
I am adopted. I’ve talked about it. Being adopted becomes a huge part of your personal identity like it or not. It is always around you, always a part of you. More than just adopted, I was an only child. I have always been independent, content on my own from an early age, and strongly opinionated. I know, you can’t imagine such a thing.
Now I have children of my own, and they look just like me. That may not be meaningful for everyone, but seeing myself in these two beautiful boys of mine, to know that we are forever family, I feel the fulfillment of Psalm 68:6“God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy”
