About Joanna Reyburn May

My History

I was born in Spain and grew up in a small town outside of Kansas City.  I started an internship program at the International House of Prayer in South Kansas City in 2002. I love to travel. I've spent time in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Africa and much of the United States.

What I do:
I'm a singer, songwriter, worship leader, web designer, marketing guru, and photographer and DIYer.

I've been involved at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City for 8 years, in website development, bookstore, recording projects, and worship leading. I travel, sing and lead worship at the Prayer Room. I've also worked with Lou Engle and TheCall, Shawn Bolz, Melody Green and other awesome people. I love being involved with what the Lord is doing.

I married my love, Jason May on May 1, 2010. Jason is a Christian rap artist and dancer with a music on iTunes. We've got an new-to-us 1950's project house that we're working on, and have two dogs that we love.

My Loves
I love all sorts of mysterious things including quantum physics, studying Genesis and Greek & Hebrew, the symphony, and professional bull riding. I've lived in Kansas City for 20 years, and think it is a delightful city.

February 2011, I released my first album, Here's My Cup thanks to the support of a wonderful couple: David & Joy Zesiger. It is available from iTunes, IHOP-KC's Forerunner Bookstore, and Amazon.
